Meet our Foundation’s New Executive Director, Candice Cochran

Candice Cochran joined the Natrona County Public Library Foundation as Executive Director in early January. Candice is a Casper native and graduated from Natrona County High School. She spent the first 20 years of her career working with non-profits in administration, fund development, marketing, and event planning. She has served as the Executive Director of the Wyoming Professional Assistance Program since 2013. She has a Master’s degree in Public Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from Montana State University-Billings.

“Our Library is more than books – it is an integral part of making Casper and the surrounding areas a vibrant and accessible community.” Cochran says, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to play a role in making a good library great and to support the goals, services, and programs of the Library.”

The Natrona County Public Library Foundation was established in 1973 to enhance the services and programs provided by the Library through raising private funds. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the library can offer more to our community. Over the last decade, the Foundation endowment has grown from $1 million to $3.5 million, moving it beyond raising funds for operating expenses and toward expanded support of the Library’s strategic priorities.

She replaces long-time executive director Beth Worthen. The Foundation wishes Worthen the best in her new role as the Executive Director of the Natrona Collective Health Trust.
